Absolutely brilliant experience at Zizzi thanks to Nikola! The service was exceptional from start to finish — friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming. Nikola made us feel so looked after and went above and beyond to make the evening special. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the customer service really stood out. It’s rare to come across someone who brings such positive energy and professionalism. Thank you for such a fantastic experience — we’ll definitely be back!

Extremely disappointed.
Zizzi will allow you to book a late sitting, let you look forward to your night out until three hours before arrival, phone you to ask you to come earlier (the reason we booked the sitting we did was because we were going to the theatre, which is right next door, this can’t be unusual) then when you arrive for your booked time, fail to have the full menu available, so you can only choose from their more basic options - they wouldn’t let me order one of their “Rustica” pizzas, only from the much more limited selection of “Classico”.
None of this is mentioned at the time of booking, when it’s all just “Great news, we have availability!”, which is essentially a lie - they may have the table, but they won’t serve you the food you wanted.
If you can book the time slot, is it unreasonable to expect to enjoy the service? If you’re not going to have items available until the end of the day, why allow the bookings?
We didn’t stay, and won’t be going back.

Excellent service by Nikola tonight, although busy, service was fairly quick and our food arrived hot. Not a massive fan of sitting so close to the kitchen as the noise made it difficult to have a conversation, and the metal chairs are uncomfortable! Will definitely return for the food and service.

Zizzi is usually a reliable rather than interesting choice. However this branch has a great layout and atmosphere: not too noisy or crowded but still alive and enjoyable.
The menu has also had an update. The usual range is there but there are some new and interesting items. Service was very good and friendly.
If you need somewhere for dinner ahead of a night out at The Corn Exchange or The Arts Theatre, this is ideal.

We booked a table for 6pm as we had a show booked at 8, thinking it would be plenty of time. We were 8 min late arriving & were promptly shown to a table, however we were sat at the table half an hour with nobody coming to take our order. There was a quick order QR code on the table, however we couldn’t use that as nobody had opened our table on their system. I eventually got up & went to find someone & got them to open the table so we could order on our phone. The order took another 10/15 mins to be accepted by the kitchen. We were in the restaurant for an hour before our drinks arrived, then the starters followed 10 mins afterwards, the food was lovely, but there was no check backs made to be sure. The mains came out shortly after the starter plates were removed & again they were tasty. However we ended up stuffing it down and not really savouring the flavour as by the time it came out we had 12 mins to eat it or miss the start of the show. I was really glad I asked to pay the bill between the courses or we would have been late.
The girls serving were all very polite & nice when you managed to actually get eye contact & speak to them. The restaurant was busy downstairs, a majority were probably going to the same show we were, but they seemed very understaffed & almost every table had to get up to go & find a member of staff if they needed anything. When we left at 7.50 most of the tables had cleared out & it was a mass clean up of all the tables.
As I’ve said the food was perfectly nice, but the wait for anything to happen made our leisurely evening turn into quite a stressful event & the desserts we’d been dribbling over on the menu just weren’t possible. A shame really
